The Legacy was the first in a series of tunebooks I devised during the early 1990s which was to consist of a selection of Scottish tunes from various sources. For one reason or another, these books failed to materialise, but I recently came across a number of test pages which I’d made to judge the look and readability of the layout. I have now collected these pages together and present a small, personal selection of tunes I’ve found and liked, and which hopefully you’ll like too.

Thanks for sharing your work, i think it will be great to look through. I'll be interested to see where versions I know vary from yours. And to check out the ones I don't know, that will be fun too.
Thanks for the download and the tunes, Nigel. I was interested to see another *Miss Johnston* tune - I believe she played a keyboard (not sure which) back in the 18thC. I guess you know about her.
Also good news is, it led me to your bio, and then to Youtube, and then to your website, and then to "Hoch Hay". Nice tune, I first heard it from Lunasa when they were over here. I have found the tune in many places online, but I have not found the song associated with it, as of yet. I will keep looking.
Could you offer any info about the song's lyrics, author, place of origin, etc. etc.?

Very good, thanks Nigel.
Seasider, did you try right-clicking first and then choosing "save as" or "save link as" ?
Then it should open in Adobe Acrobat Reader or any pdf reader.
