Youtube is OK if you take time to sort the wheat from the chaff, There is some good stuff there. Just listen to what you like, and skip over the rest. All the links above are on Youtube.
I actually use Spotify a lot for tune searching and in most cases I find great recordings of the tunes I'm looking for!
I guess the only drawback is that you inevitably will find some of those horrible "distorted guitar and drum set accompanied" versions.. Oh, how I hate when you find a recording which sounds promising and then suddenly after the first round those damn drums and guitars kick in!!
Works great as a reference though! I mean, after all it's up to myself to play it well!
Looking for recordings...
Looking for recordings...
Is there any websites better for tune recordings than You Tube, there is a lot of shite there when trying to pick up new tunes.

Re: Looking for recordings...
Here's a site that's obviously flute-centric, but is a great resource for tunes:
http://irishflute.podbean.com/
There are lots of decent recordings on the official comhaltas site
http://comhaltas.ie
I had a bunch of other links somewhere but am at work right now and they're on my PC at home. If I remember later I'll try to post a few more.

Re: Looking for recordings...
YouTube is just like the internet. Sooo big, Soooooo much Trash and Tripe, but an occasional gem buried on page 74
Sooo much time wasted wading through the garbage.
But the bad stuff gives on great hope, though the gemreinforces how hard a climb you have to do to get to playing like the gem
