Is there a way of removing my submitted tune, or should I just add the usual title for it and call it good? I've searched for discussions on this with no luck.
I like that we can't delete or edit our own posts. Once you hit the "post" button, you're committed to it for better or for worse. Should make people think before they post, not that they do.
I have platters of more material. You'll need a plate in your head when I'm through. You'll need to retire to the Edge of the Wood, and be in a daze wondering Ware's Jasper.
Removing/deleting submitted tunes
Removing/deleting submitted tunes
A few weeks ago I submitted "Joe Cooley's Favourite," jig: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/11212/details Today, I found out that this is an old tune, Biddy the Bowl Wife (h/t McCusker Brothers): http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/4785 Turns out it's played in A, Joe played it in D.
Is there a way of removing my submitted tune, or should I just add the usual title for it and call it good? I've searched for discussions on this with no luck.

Re: Removing/deleting submitted tunes
I think it would be useful to have the ability to delete one's own posts and tunes. Because right now these options don't exist.

Re: Removing/deleting submitted tunes
Here's my suggestion:
Paste your (alternative) version into the tune comments for "Biddy the Bowl Wife", then email Jeremy and ask him to delete your own submission.

Re: Removing/deleting submitted tunes
Yes, as Mix said, please post your setting in the comments to the existing version. Then I can delete the duplicate submission.
I usually try to catch (and delete) these duplications before generating the sheetmusic but these one slipped through.

Will do, thanks. Perhaps this could be added to the FAQ.

Re: Removing/deleting submitted tunes
Biddy the Bowl Wife? Haha! I think Biddy was, in fact, somewhat bold, rather than an item of crockery.

Re: Removing/deleting submitted tunes
Your criticisms are a complete crock...
It's Bold in some sources, Bowl in others. Just more of that good ol' mangled English, eg "Sodger Laddie."
