Furlongs is closing, East Durham will not be the same

They are putting it up for sale. I will really miss Tom and Yvonne and the great tunes. Can one of you please purchase it, keep the music going, and offer up great discounts to Session members?

Wow. Was hoping this post was some sort of sick joke or something. Just wandered over to facebook and unfortunately it's true. Will miss that place.

Sad to hear.

Very nice place.

It is nice to see that Blackthorne is making its way back. In small communities like that losing any business can be devastating.

In a town like East Durham where folks are trying to keep a tradition going it is that much tougher.
