The Session >> Discussions >> High Pitch D flute
Hi All, I recently received a early 1900's German flute stamped H.P. (high pitched) Does anyone know the pitch, how far the slide needs pulling out and how suitable is it for session playing. I thought I get some insight before restoring. Thanks

High pitch is up to A=452. Slide pullout is approx. 1 mm = 1 Hz. This flute may not be playable at A=440 due to flat high notes / sharp low ones.
