After having watched the Dervish broadcast, i realized there was something (rather someone) missing.. Where was Shane Mitchell (accordion) ? This summer when i saw the Cambridge Folk festival on BBC4, i said to myself who is this guy playing the box with Dervish , and now there is none.. so? is this a new line up?
May well be, Aidan - all I heard was a friend of mine in Dublin went up to Sligo to some benefit for the family of a member of the band who had recently died. Sad whatever.
No comments on the music so far. At the risk of incurring the wrath of the Dervish devotees, I would say that to call it mediocre would be flattery.

Couldn't say... Visa troubles?
Just listening to the concert now. I really don't like the way Tom's fiddle is miked up - sounds like a midi synthesizer for some reason.

That was Finn Corrigan(?), not a player but an integral part of the band's overall sound.

It was Finn who died, he was their tour manager, sound guy, and a heck of a nice guy.
