Went to the Two Oceans trio ( Tim O'Brien, Trevor Hutchinson, Gerry Paul - http://timobrien.net/node/110 ) gig last night.
Superb musicianship, great chemistry, high energy and humble to boot.
They played some covers, some trad songs, some of Tim's songs and even a tune set (Hardiman the Fiddler was the tune that I recognised whose name I know).
Their opener, Christof ( http://www.christofmusic.com/ ) was also superb and joined them on stage for a couple of numbers.

Superb musicianship, great chemistry, high energy and humble to boot.

And they donated a substantial chunk of the proceeds to the Red Cross efforts in Christchurch ( http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/christchurch-earthquake/4711459/Christchurch-quake-latest-updates ).
I believe they're going on to tour Australia after they're done here. Well worth checking out.

Why would you want to support charity to a wealthy country like NZ when one could direct your $$$£££ to rather more needy places?

Just because the country may be wealthy doesn't mean that everyone affected by a disaster is wealthy and doesn't need help.
