1. Years ago 'plating' always meant something personal and private that two people might do !
2. How would would you have to alter your technique for playing a flute (or any other instrument come to that) in zero gravity?
To answer Yhaalhouse's question about playing an instrument in zero gravity, I would like to quote the following line from the "Zero-G Polka" (sung to the tune of the Beer Barrel Polka): "Since the Sousaphone blows lot of air, that's why we must tie him to his chair. He tends to fly around the ballroom.....(at this point, memory fails me and I can't remember the next line)
I happen to know Caty, she plays at a session I host, she is very nice, and loves playing Irish tunes. It is amazing to me how dedicated she is to her occupation and Irish tunes. Would that I could be that together.

"...finds herself bumping into objects as she plays, floating, with her eyes closed..." It's in the Independent so it must be true.

Music theory/ musicology...
It was nice of Danny to bring a touch of music theory or even, Heavens forbid! musicology to this rather random thread!
