Notes From the Heart is a favorite cd (ok Ipod download) of mine and I haven't heard anything from them for a couple years...what are they up to these days?
They recorded "Reelin In Tradition" on CIC, another gem. Mick and Michelle were here in Oz in 2009 and we had a great time. What an extraordinary family.
thanks Jim..I had just rewatched all those youtube vids and that's what got me to wondering...they were at the East Durham Irish arts Week a couple years ago..missed it then but was thinking about this year...
I bought the two cds mentioned here a few weeks ago, and I've played them constantly. Their music just hits the spot, and is the opposite of meretricious and flashy. A lot of the tunes are raised a semitone, because Michelle is using an E♭ concertina and Louise an E♭ flute. I've tuned a fiddle up to play along and learn what I can.

Re: The Mulcahy Family
Tony's right. "Reelin in Tradition" is a very good follow-on to 'Notes'.
Reelin is also up on iTunes for download.
