Life in Cape Breton

Life in Cape Breton

Hello, I am new to the session. I live in Cape Breton and will be running a children's music and dance camp here (if all goes welll...either this year or next.

Also working at a new hostel/B&B opening soon...a place to get started in cape breton...lots of other wonderful places too.

Slainte...I'm sorry I don't speak Gaelic or French, but lessons are available here...as well as private fiddle, guitar, piano, singing, dancing lessons.

Let me know if you are coming and will do my best to direct you.

Yours, in music, dance and song

Re: Life in Cape Breton

I hope all goes well with you up there. I've spent some time at the Gaelic College and like to find some time this coming year to get back up. It's nice to have another contact in the area.

Re: Life in Cape Breton

Hi, also from me: the best of luck to your project. I spent this summer on Cape Breton, around Indian Brook/Ingonish, met extremely welcoming people, heard lovely music all over (North Sydney session). Usually I´m around Halifax, trying to take part in the blues sessions on Barrington Street, but Cape Breton was an extremely lovely experience I will almost certainly try to repeat! Cheers, Alex
