New Tremolo Harmonica site

New Tremolo Harmonica site

In recent years I've become interested in the tremolo harmonica. Searching the web I've found little about the tremolo, less about how to play it.

To address this I've prepared a number of tremolo sites. There are:

http://www.tremoloharmonica.com Features music, tremolo player profiles etc

http://www.harmonicaacademy.com/categories/20101027 Twenty online tremolo lessons, for beginning and intermediate players.

The tremolo is actually the most widely played harmonica in the world. At first glance it seems very different to the 10 hole diatonic, however the note layout is quite similar.

It is a terrific instrument for session tunes. Great tremolo players include Donald Black from Scotland, Pip Murphy from Ireland.

If you've ever wondered about the tremolo harmonica, then check out the sites.

Thank you
Check out this site also http://celticharmonica.podbean.com - nice examples of harmonica tunes

Also i want to mention Noel Battle - he's very very good player - you can hear him hear, for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn9HJp0x258

Re: New Tremolo Harmonica site

Good work, Tony. Though I play mostly 10-hole harps I wouldn't go out without my G/D double-sided Echo. I like to think I'm Jimmy Shand on Burns Night... ;-)

Re: New Tremolo Harmonica site

Thanks for the links. I've added celticharmonica.podbean.com to the links page. Nick Moreau is a fine player.

Likewise Noel Battle. Does he have a site anywhere? I'm keen to feature any sites related to tremolo.

Re: New Tremolo Harmonica site

Fascinating sites Tony.
Arthur Middleton (deceased) of Aberdeenshire and Billy Jolly of Kirkwall are two players I know of who should be more widely known. There must be more
