who ever created the sct exams never thought about banjo players any one knw a nice air r fling and some schottiche someone please tell me what that is and two slip jigs connected

I would have thought, even after the example above that "banjo air" was an oxymoron. You know, like military intelligence.
Please understand this is not an anti-banjo comment. I'm just recognizing a limitation that is quite inherent in the way the instrument works. Sustain is hard to get and rather needed in airs.

I had this Album for a while, Lovely Air this man composed on it,
also other Banjo tunes he wrote - Met him once in a local session of ours - After talking to him later -- he dose know his stuff. Both on Banjo's and on the music..

I'm not sure how the SCT examiners classify tunes but Strathspeys like Cathkin Braes go well on the banjo and can be played for a Highland Schottische
