Signatures required from Hammersmith residents/workers/students to help save the centre.
Hammersmith Council are proposing to sell the the Irish Cultural Centre building in Hammersmith. The centre and its supporters are campaigning against this decision, and they need 5000 signatures by the end of this week, in order to gain the right to address a full council meeting.
BUT only Hammersmith residents, and those who work or study in the borough are eligible to sign the petition. Please can I ask you to forward this to anyone you know who meets this criteria
Occupy, raise the Tricolour, play An Puc Ar Buile and other rousing songs of transgression from the roof as loud as technology will allow. It would be bloody great on the evening news, that's for sure, a change from the usual grungey stuff.
I used to live in West Kensington. Could I use my old address I wonder ?
Isn't this discrimination against ethnic minorities, and thus against the law ?
I think someone should point this out to the council.

Re: SAVE Hammersmith Irish Cultural Centre
That's awful, I used to go there sometimes when I still lived in London. I hope you get enough signatures.
