Looking for the name of this Polka

Am looking for the name of this Polka, (the slide also if someone knows it), in this clip.

Also it seems strange to me that he would play in A#. any ideas why ?

Re: Looking for the name of this Polka

You seem to be right although looking at U tube now, a lot of different tunes seemed to be used for the Siege Of Ennis dance itself. Many thanks

Re: Looking for the name of this Polka

B flat is what the GHB is in and is not an unusual key for fiddle, probably for that reason. Although I don't know how that relates to the box.

Re: Looking for the name of this Polka

If the tunes are a semitone up it's because Séamus is playing a D/D# box as if it were a C#/D instrument - an Eb box if you like. First tune is a slide of course.

Was anybody else impressed with the level of wear on that guitar?
