Well I couldn't quite listen to it all the way through but yes it did make me smile :-) In fact it reminded me a little of a South African whistler but with a little less swing maybe,

Excellent & thanks.
There are a couple of nice tunes on MarioKart - eg Moo Moo Meadows sounds quite Irish and Mushroom Gorge sounds a bit Galician. check them out!

Cheers ;) The full set is a work in progress Mario into Rainy Day into the Streetfighter Theme into Calliope House into Guile's theme from Streetfighter. Haven't mastered the change into Streetfighter because it's fiendish, and the fiddle part of Streetfighter is really difficult, but the rest of the set is sorted lol. Guile's theme sounds deadly on the bouzouki lol! Haha we have a midi file of the tune and at some point should finish it off..

Good stuff! Hopefully everyone will get the joke, and not lecture you on how the tune you picked is not really traditional, and not performed in an authentic manner, etc, etc........

I just thought it was playing a tune, which is very much part of our modern environment, in the way we on this website know how to....

I am of late playing, or messing about with "Being For the Benefit of Mr Kite" by The Beatles as a hornpipe.
Works really well.

I've always thought that the overture to Carmen would make a nice reel, at least for the A part.
