Sorry for posting this here...I'm not getting any results from contacting people listed for Vegas sessions. I am wondering if there are any sessions in Vegas other than the McMullan's, which seems more of a paid performance than a session proper. Thanks in advance for anybody with info!
McMullen's DOES NOT have a session any longer. When I went to Las Vegas for a rugby tournament in July, I stopped by McMullen's and inquired, and was told that yes, they had a Sunday session. I showed up on Sunday with my instruments, and their "session" was one fellow singing old "Irish" chestnuts. He was kind enough to invite me stay and play along, but I demurred, as whistle or flute would not have contributed much. If you want any other info on possible house sessions in Las Vegas, e-mail Beth Mullaney at : bethmullaney@aol.com
A friend of mine, Sean Keating, has recently moved from LA to Vegas. He's a fine Highland piper and is learning the uilleann pipes and doing quite well.
You might run into him somewhere, because he's been getting quite a few Highland piping gigs there.
