Submitting albums to the list: instrumental albums only?
Hello everyone.
Here I am, happily typing away :~) in the Recordings section, submitting loads of my favourite albums, until all of a sudden it struck me, kind of like a thunderbolt (crash/sizzle/ouch): what if I got it all wrong and yous only want albums that are strictly tunes and tunes only? Cuz I run into all kinds of albums all of the time with great tunes on it, but there's songs on 'em too...
Can somebody help me out here?

What's a session without a few songs?
Correct me if I'm wrong, Jeremy, but basically, although this is a site for sharing tunes and not songs, a few songs in the recording part of the site isn't going to hurt anything.

I've been debating with meself the same thing, whether i should post my favourite Chieftains album (The Long Black Veil) on account that it has a couple of instrumental tunes and one of the craickest renditions of "Rocky Road To Dublin", ever!

How about songs? Most of my favorite albums contains both tunes and songs. And I've always been wondering about the fact that most "serious" trad. players seem to neglect vocal songs and concentrate on instrumental tunes. This is also the case in Sweden with the traditional swedish trad. music

You can submit albums with songs. Of course, there won't be any matching of tune titles to track listings but you can still post comments about the album and discuss its merits.

I was hppping to get my hands on Part II: Fire in Our Heart by NaConnerys posted by brainless-t. Have tried Amazon, Tower and Barnes & Noble, etc. and no one seems to have it. Anone have any thoughts about getting a copy to start the New Year off on the the right track? If its half as good as " The Session" CD by Na Connerys it should be "mighty craic" for the New Year! Bet it has a song or two on it.
