Re: Mandolins and Bouzoukis for Sale

I am based in the Midlands, Ireland.

There is a Paul Doyle Bouzouki (2 frets shorter than normal) in the Mullins case. Almost a mandola with a large body if you want to look at it that way.

Lastly I think you all have unfortunately caught a bit of the Foley-itise. People seem to be jumping up and down all over the place about Foley bouzoukis. They are good but I have played a few of them beside the Doyle and they don't compare. Doyles way better. (Not just saying that because I'm selling one)

Photos on request no problem, all instruments in mint condition.

E-bay is yer man

you meant Foleyitis...without the 'e' and you're god damn luck that the bloke who runs this site didn't delete your thread and send you off to e-bay the way he did me when I posted a thread on Sunday about Cork winning the All Ireland. I didn't go to E-bay btw. I pleaded that I was about to work in a few tunes related to Cork...Welcome to Cork...I mean who calls that tune Father O Flynn...no-one...that dude who runs this place...he's from Kerry btw...whatever he says otherwise...

Re: Mandolins and Bouzoukis for Sale

Jimmy Doyle, Mark Foley?

Are we still talking about cork and all Irelands?

Re: Mandolins and Bouzoukis for Sale

No we're not still talking about Cork and All Irelands, that would be pushing our luck a bit, considering that any mention of historical sporting events immediately brings a deletion of said discussion. Done enthusiastically when the moderator is from Kerry. ;-)

Re: Mandolins and Bouzoukis for Sale

I like my Foley. been to Doyle's workshop, but have yet to play anything that compares. I also don't like the shape of the soundhole on a Doyle. but I'm nitpicking, if you like it, why are you selling it? to make money to buy a Foley perhaps?

Re: Mandolins and Bouzoukis for Sale

I play The Miller From Glanmire on my 2004 Doyle because it sounds better than when I play The Lilting Banshee (!!!). Corcaigh Abú!
