I have looked in the Session section and found nothing so here goes.
Anyone now of any Irish bars in Benalmadena Spain with live Irish folk/ballad type music nightly?
I have been there before and any so called irish bars I visited had none.
For me a real Irish bar has got to have live Irish music. Sticking a few Jerseys on the wall and showing football matches is not my idea of a real Irish bar.
the Irish Times in Benalmadena has regular Irish sessions on Saturdays, run by David and Rosie Speers.We have not made it there yet as we live further up the coast, but as soon as we return to Spain this month we shall go along, as they come highly recommended.
Pippa sounds good. Could you point me in the right direction to the pub. is it near the Marina or the Fuenguerola end, is it on the strip (sea front) or up off it, or do they have a web site, phone number or e-mail that you know of ?

There is a great irish scene here on the coast, with sessions also in malaga, nerja (some months of the year) and Granada, and musicians come from miles around.We shall be back in Spain next week, so hope to see you soon! Google the sessionistas as well. They gig under that name and run the sessions.
