Well with just two days to go, i was at a session last night (thurs night) in Cavan Town and the place looks the part. The town is hopping with people already and you can feel the atmosphere building up. The town is littered with art sculptures, (one of which my good friend designed and built) and there are large canopies overlooking main street. The publicans are well geared up for the flow of people. I know it doesn't offically start till monday, but there are events taking place this sunday night. Make sure you get a Fleadh town map, because events are well but evenly spread around. Two hundred Gardai will be present in the town and newly installed street CCTV cameras will be operational for all our safety.
me and a friend will come over to the Fleadh in Cavan (by car), too and bring our wee tent. Is there gonna be some chance to avoid the expensive camp sites and camp somewhere else??
I don't find the Fleadh town map on the Fleadh's website very effective though. By the way, what about those concerts at the Town Hall, etc. Does anyone know the prices?
All i know at the moment is Andy Irvine is playing in the museum in ballyjamesduff thursday evening at 15 euro, and Paul Brady at the horse centre at 30 euro on the friday.

The only people they'll have to deal with are the people that aren't musician's and that'll be about 5%... better odds

So, there will be 190,000 musicians there! That's gonna be some noise if they all strike up at once.
