Last month the Irish trio I play in, Flashpoint, put together several garageband recordings to use as sample tracks to submit to potential performances venues. Though we finished editing them a while ago, we just recently got them uploaded them to our MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/flashpointtx).
I've initially been hesitant to ask for musical feedback on this forum, but as I've seen others in the past have received helpful comments, I'd like to ask you all to take a listen to our tracks (http://www.myspace.com/flashpointtx) and give us your opinion. I'd really appreciate any comments or constructive criticism you might have to share, as that is really what helps us develop into better musicians. Also, if you have any comments on the quality of the recordings themselves, that would be helpful, as we were just figuring out how to use all of our equipment for the first time.
Thanks a lot! I look forward to hearing back from you all!
Thanks guys! By the way, in case I wasn't clear in my original post, I'm not trying to present these clips as "perfect" by any means. They are full of little flaws that could use improvement, but considering the time crunch during recording and the equipment we were using, I think it turned out fairly well and is a good general representation of our band's sound.
Just wanted to clarify that. Please keep the comments coming.
Sounds fine to me David. Nice playing, fairly decent sound quality. I hate recording and messing with that stuff, drives me nuts, so I'm impressed with anyone being able to handle the frustration. The fluter in my band doesn't let me near the stuff anymore. Nuff said.
Also, your "Old Favorite" my Dad calls "The Kilfenora".
