Does anyone know of any websites that might sell these flute recordings?? (most likely in cassette form)
John McKenna - His Original Recordings
Paddy Taylor - The Boy in the Gap
Eddie Cahill - Ah Surely
Packie Duignan & Seamus Horan - Music from County Leitrim
Peter Horan & Fred Finn - Music of Sligo
Roger Sherlock - Memories of Sligo
Fintan Vallely - Traditional Irish Flute
The Fluters of Old Erin
Any help would be appreciated. (I already have requests out to Ossian, Claddagh & Celtic Grooves but I don't think they keep any of these in stock)
I would also be willing to buy copies from anyone out there. Just email me if you are interested. If someone sends me tapes, I can convert then to CD form and would be happy to send back a CD.
I'm afraid I can't help you on any of the specific recordings you listed. I do own a CD featuring vintage recordings from Sligo fiddlers Paddy Killoran and James Morrison. John McKenna is featured on two of the tracks, doing duets with Morrison.
I don't know if two tracks would make it worth your while, but here's the recording:
Joyce, I have a copy of Fluters of Old Erin and can have a copy made on cassette and send it to you. I have your e-mail address so I will contact you off list.
Mike

Re: Search for old recordings
The Fred Finn/Peter Horan cassette was produced by Comhaltas so I'm sure you'd be able to get a copy by contacting them at Monkstown on 01 280 0295
