I'm selling brand new - two-months old polyacetal practice set (bag, bellows and chanter in D concert pitch) made by Andreas Rogge. The set is for left handed. The set is great, lovely sound and it is in tune. It has a screw so you can tune back D. With this set you'll get hard case with code number option for locking it. The reason for selling is that I need monay, and I feel really sad that I must sell it, but if I will buy another set sometime, it would be polyacetal Andreas Rogge set for sure, couse it's really great. Price is 550 Euros + shipping costs (I'm in Zagreb, Croatia).
Hey, you're doing well after only two months. Are you sure you have to part with them? Could you not sell a kidney or something? Your soul? Leave the country?
That's a great price. I know someone and have let them know, and passed this information on to another source to distribute around the pipers group in Manchester...
At least you're someone who has been here awhile, not just signing up and dropping in to sell something...
Best of luck.
But curious, what makes it Left-Handed? ~ that's coming from a lefty that generally adapts to what is available instrument wise...
Yes, I see you're playing it left handed, with your hands reversed up and down, but is there anything that forces the bag to one side and the bellows to the other? Shouldn't that be interchangeable?
From the pictures the bag seems the only big difference, and that shouldn't really matter that much, where the pipe from the bellows enters, though reversing it to right-handed would make it higher, so anyone with a mid aged or brew bulge might be disadvantaged...
Yes, the bag, I see. I guess passing the connection under the bag wouldn't quite work either, but I suspect there could be some kind of adjustment made, or a whole new bag. What's the going price on a new bag?
I got a loan of a half set of pipes and couldn't play them because I play left handed, I was already so used to playing the flute this way I couldn't force myself to change... I was pretty dissapointed
Nobody tells you what hand to put on top when playing the tin-whistle so I put my right hand on top (i.e playing left handed ) and so moved on to the flute which led to me paying extra to having keys put on the opposite side...
Yes, I guess something similar happened to me, but following right handed players, though not mirror-imaged. There are plenty of left-handed players out there, with similar tales to yours PF... That said, some things I just do left-handed, and left-handed scissors are a blessing, as well as sauce pans...

I would keep it as is and still shift thighs and play it right handed...
