Hello everyone I'm Peggy-Jean. Brand new to the group and Mandolin.
Can someone please help me with something here on the site? i see the hyper link for all the songs in the weekly song sessions yet when i click it i guess my computer doesn't have that file? does anyone know what format/ name of file is used so i can view and print them? really loving my mandolin looking forward to a few submissions in time. thanks kindly in advance. peggy
Welcome Peggy-Jean. Try clicking on Tunes, and then use the search function. By the way, we don't do songs on this site, we do tunes. In the Irish music community, tunes are instrumental, songs are sung and have words. Just a little help so you can learn the terminology. Poke around the site for a while, and it will get clearer!

Re: Nice tune, but what's the name!?
It might be Jim, but I got it from a recording I made in a Manchester session so chances are it'll be Irish....

Sounds Scots to me as well. And if it's in A I'd lay money it's from North of the border. Can't find it in any of my sources, mind.

Coachman's Whip by Vincent Broderick is a pretty close match.
