I love this one from Bronwyn de Paor:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOSOTjkVAS0
If you don't mind letting go of the shallow end. I'm afraid I don't know the name, though.
Hi: I love hornpipes and there are many great ones at all skill levels. As mentioned earlier, the Boys of the Bluehill is a standard everyone knows and is not difficult. It is very often played with The Harvest Home which is trickier.
The Home Ruler is also easy to play, but a real nice tune. I Think it goes well with the Redesdale (both are on this site) and the modulation from D to G is a nice touch.
Finally there is The Rights of Man. More of a challenge, but a pretty piece of music and fun to play.
A real cracker is Early Dark by Colin Dewar; it knits it beautifully with Harvest Home and the Trumpet Hornpipe. Also, since not many folk are using it at the moment, it adds novelty, too.
In desperate need of a hornpipe!!!

Johnstone's Hornpipe aka Johnstone's Fancy is a nice four part hornpipe that is cool in my book.

I believe "If There Were No Women" is a barndance, not a hornpipe.

Ceili17,

Have fun
