The javascript-heavy design is going to make it difficult for Google and other search engines to index your site. A quick check shows that the "non-javascript skeleton" shows up in Google, but it doesn't have links or any other functionality.
Given the importance of search engines in driving traffic to your site, you might want to consider a more friendly design.
Second, the "Myriad Music" plugin might well be "fantastic" but it's not likely that many people will have it installed, and a good number are just going to shrug and leave the site rather than install yet another plugin. I think it would be better to offer the sheet music in PDF or some other common standard with the Myriad Music plugin as an alternative option.
I'd also check to see if you're getting into JC's ABC search engine. That's a critical resource.
Hi Jim, I have just downloaded the Myriad Music plug in and have started using the site .It is excellent ,many people will derive knowledge and pleasure from it.Many Thanks Jim !!
The plugin isn't needed. When you double click on a tune, you are offered a download in pdf, abc, midi, and mp3. This is a nice feature.
I agree that the interface is a little awkward. I tend to rely heavily on the back button in my browser, and that ejects you from the site entirely. A purely html version would be faster, more easily searched, and offer greater compatibility with older browsers.
It's a nice and well organized collection of tunes, however. The plugin is also quite convenient, with its ability to play back and tranpose tunes.
