The Scottish Mandolin Tutor

The Scottish Mandolin Tutor

I know this is an Irish music site, but perhaps some of you might like to know that I have just put out a book entitled 'The Scottish Mandolin Tutor', published by Taigh Na Teud on the Isle of Skye.

Cheers

Re: The Scottish Mandolin Tutor

Good luck with that, Dagger. Hope all is well with you and the family.

Re: The Scottish Mandolin Tutor

Since there is no one definitive style of mandolin playing in Irish music, any mandolin tutor is relevant - and a Scottish one, more relevant than most.

Good luck. I might be purchasing a copy myself sometime soon.

Re: The Scottish Mandolin Tutor

Mine too.

Good Luck with this Dagger. I'm sure it'll be very useful to lots of musicians, not to mention helping to raise the profile of the Mandolin!

Hope you don't mind, but I've given it a wee plug on the quiet forum, too! ;-)

Thanks guys.

Hi Kenny,

Family and myself are all doing fine, thanks, as I hope you are yourself.

Dick, I wasn't aware of this site. Have you just started it?

Regards,

Dagger

Aye Dagger, it's not been on the go for very long, if you visit though, be prepared to dodge the odd Tumbleweed! ;-)

Re: The Scottish Mandolin Tutor

I've only had it for two days, but so far it is a superb tutor.

The format is easy to read, the tunes great, and the CD very helpful. A lot of thought went into this tutor.
