OK, everybody, here's a new topic to play with.
In light of today being April Fools Day, (can anyone say Topeka?) what April Fools jokes have you played on your mates, or had played on you?
I'm sure some of you have some whoppers to tell...
(All names shall of course be withheld to protect the innocent/guilty.)
Long time ago I had a bit of fun with a harmonica player who wanted to join in our session. After he whipped out his organ (mouth organ! geez) which was in C, he proceeded to start in on some medley of blues standards. We all sat patiently listening to his 'solo'. After he finished, I offered to buy him a round, to get him away from the circle. While at the bar, I informed him that the session was a 'closed shop', and he needed to have his union musician card to be able to play with us. He said he wasn't in the union, so sadly packed up his axe and left us to our tunes.
True story...
April Fool's...
