Hand-arm Vibration Syndrome. It is an affect on nerves and circulation in the hands of power tool operators. But I can't imagine it being caused by fiddling - it is only caused by high amplitude, low frequency vibrations that shake the whole arm - like a road drill.
If you suffer those sort of symptoms from playing the fiddle, it's much more likely to be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
The problem is your left shoulder - you're raising it, or overextending your left arm inward from the shoulder. The solution is to stop doing that. Consider raising your shoulder rest/getting a shoulder rest.

White finger for fiddlers
Have any of you fiddle players out there ever suffered this? Please don't say yes if you work on a road drill all day!

I've never come across it in sessions or orchestras, but that may perhaps mean that sufferers don't get as far as playing in those ensembles.
