Good times with Tommy Sands and family

Good times with Tommy Sands and family

Last week, Tommy, Fionan, and Moya Sands passed through our area and gave a fantastic concert. Following a series of additional concerts in our region, they came back last night and came to our regular session for a while. I simply want to say that the Sands family are class individuals and great entertainers. We had a great time with them and I encourage anyone who has the chance to see them to do so. Tommy's message of peace is constant and strong - and well worth listening to.

Tommy is making a lot of money out of his "message of peace".

Some of us just got shot at for having messages of peace.

Bit like the "Wolfe Tones" making money out of their message of war.

Maybe I am just a cynic but couldn't like the Sands family, apart from Michael who plays up in Ballycastle of course.

Bliss, despite some past lulus, you've exceeded my expectations of your ability to be crass....

I was there last night and have to say that it was a great evening along with the concert last week. Hope to see them again.

Re: Good times with Tommy Sands and family

They came through here and I thought the show and message were brilliant. I think it goes well beyond the troubles in the north and resonates through current global events. It's the only time in 25 years of going to my local pub to hear music and the crowd was consistently silent and appreciative, and the message wasn't limited to being between the beginning and ending of songs. It was like watching a river.
