Craobh Rua

Craobh Rua

Went to see them on Sunday night (Glos. UK). Full house. Heaving it was. Wonderful playing.

It had been a few years and the band continually evolves. I hadn't seen the fiddler or singer/guitarist before, but the selection of tunes was great and I particularly liked the higher percentage of songs.

And Guinness was 30 bob. They tell me it's about 6 quid in Dublin.

Re: Craobh Rua

*6 quid!??*

Dublin sounds like Scandinavia only without any rules.

That in itself is a disconcerting concept.

"Dublin sounds like Scandinavia only without any rules" if only, nicholas, it's far worse than that!

Re: Craobh Rua

It's only 6 quid for a pint of guinness if you drink in the sort of bar where they charge 6 quid for a pint of guinness.

If you go into some tourist trap pub in temple bar where the "session band" play the same 10 sets/ songs around and around you probably deserve to pay 6 euro. Accordingly, if you choose to drink Budweiser, you'll have to pay EVEN more.
