Because I can read dots (ha!), though not all that well, I know that this is a delightful waltz or jig for which you can find both staff notation and ABC in a few places. The ones I have seen claim merely that the tune is "Irish", but I haven't found any real information of its origin, nor do I know of anyone actually playing it except me - and that has been in private!

Does anyone know anything about this tune?

Only that the apostrophe is in the wrong place. Sorry.

I know the tune well, but I think it's normally called 'The Kilkenny Girl'.

And thanks skreech for the answer!
