I play tunes with a friend who is an oceanographer. I'm a veterinarian. Wanting to put together an "ocean" set and an "animals" set to go with our professions (I know, slightly tacky idea, just for fun). I thought of Rolling Waves/Out on the Ocean and the Cat's Meow/Spotted Dog but would love a 3rd tune for each set, or any other suggestions (reels - Ships are Sailing, Otter's Holt? Tunes to go with these?). Thanks in advance.
The Old Dog, Pigtown Fling, Pig in the meadow, pig ankle rag (yep, they are real tunes), farting badger, Mouth of the Tobique, Bay of Fundy, The water is wide (if any of you can sing). Dancing Bear. Squirrel Head and Gravy (if the patient doesn't make it).
Not sure if it goes with the tunes mentioned, but there's also "The Price of My Pig" http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/2680.
Geese in the Bog, although a bit more common comes to mind as well.
Thanks everyone, and Geoff I wouldn't put them together if they didn't work together, but the two sets of two I've mentioned actually do go well.
We have lots of other sets that contrast and fit together well also. As I said, it's just for fun - a little "in joke" - and a bonus if anyone else knows the tune names and figures it out.
Da Shaalds O' Foula and The One-Horned Sheep are two good jigs in G.
The first has a splendid swing to it and is from Shetland. I think 'shaalds' means 'shoals' in the sense of offshore banks or whatever on the seabed: the Shetland populace were largely fishermen, so such things were significant. Foula (from Old Norse,'Bird Island') is an unusually remote island in the Shetland group. It is, for all that, inhabited.
Tunes to go with these sets, any suggestions?

There's a really good tune called Dog Big and Dog Little. It's the second tune on this video:

Why bother with sets of cleverly contrived tune-names?.
Unless you are a musician, the joke/pun/whatever will never be understood.
Why not make decent sets of tunes that contrast and fit together well.?
Don't put two tunes together unless you have a good reason to!
