bar fly is nice -
various web apps are great too - ie concertina net's tune o tron convert a matic
I really like the feature that saves the file to a pdf
Both Barfly and Skink (ver 2) can use abcm2ps to produce files that Preview on the Mac can turn into pdf files. A great solution that avoids needing to use the web. Check with me Reed...
Thanks, everyone! I downloaded Barfly and it's working. I've used Concertina a lot to convert ABC's into sheet music. But I also use Norbeck's tunes to get ABC's for other tunes. I used to have a PC but now, with a Mac, the Mac wouldn't open Norbeck's ABC's and said it needed a program to do that. Barfly seems to be working so far.
Does anyone use Tabledit on a mac? I used to use it on my pc but after a reformat my password wouldn't work any more. I sent a few emails, but got no reply. I was thinking of installing it on my new mac but didn't want to pay again for the full version.

Barfly will open them but you may not be able to click on them and have them open automagically. There are two solutions that should work
1) Start Barfly, choose "Open File," locate the file and open it.
2) Go to the file click on it once to choose it but don't open it. Under the File menu choose "Get Info" Go down to "Open With" and select Barfly. Click on the "Change All." Away you go...

ABC files on a Mac
Does anyone know of a software program that will allow me to download and view ABC files on a Mac? I have Mac OS 10.6.2.

Or Skink http://celticmusic.ca/skink.html
Use the 2.0 beta version. Both work well.

I use TablEdit on my macbook. It's not the smoothest system I've used for tab, but it works.
