Re: Looking for lyrics!

Cromdale: the last battle of the Jacobite rebellion - fought on the low-lying meadows (haughs) of Speyside ...

Re: Looking for lyrics!

Haugh: secondary definition.

When you're at a session, a "haugh" is what you get into when someone launches into a tune that you were just about to play yourself .... ;-)

Re: Looking for lyrics!

Thanks a lot, this all has really been helpful!
(also, blame Amazon.com for my spelling of Haughs.... I copied & pasted the song title....)

Re: Looking for lyrics!

In passing....I used to love the '5 Hand Reel' arrangement of the 'Haugh's O'Cromdale' on their 'For A'That' album in 1977 when they used ''Tralee Gaol' as the interval tune. Stirring stuff..
