Kieran Hanrahan made a lovely album a good few years back which has a number of good sets. Gerry O'Connor is a force to be reckoned with, but he'd be a hard man maybe to pick tunes up from because he is a bit of an individual. But sure just about any tune can be got on the banjo. Perseverance is the key. Good luck and God bless.
Are you looking to just copy an existing tune set? Obviously there a loads of options - recordings by Hanrahan and O'Connor as suggested above, Angelina Carberry, Kevin Griffin, John Carty - etc, etc.
It's really all a matter of taste - yours to be specific. Listen to lots of stuff and see what tunes inspire you.
here's a few of my favorite ones to play
Out on the Ocean/ Morrisons/Donnybrook Fair
Geese in the bog/Fog on the pond/Tripping Upstairs
Mountain Road/Banshee/Temperence
Try some of Brian McGrath's stuff if you like his style. He plays lovely stuff, for example 'The Morning Thrush'. If you're looking for something melodic and musical, try him.
I know everyone is trying to be helpful by suggesting their favorite tenor banjo sets. But I really believe that tunes hit people on very personal levels. I know I wanted to know other people's sets when I was trying to build up my personal library as well. But Thom, I hope you press on and develop your own sets - one that appeal to you and your own style.
Find the melodies and tunes that get you excited to play. Make you want to run home and learn them. Build your sets around those gems. The melody is king - and any good one can sound brilliant on any instrument.
Yes, Brendan Tonra's Jig. I only found that out after reading the comments in the Tunes section. It is a shame that the name has evolved the way it has. I found the other name on an album and in print.
From now on it will be known as Brendan Tonra's for me too. A great jig.

A favorite jig set for me is Tone Rowe's and Dan The Cobbler because they use the full range of the banjo and are easy to play.

"A favorite jig set for me is Tone Rowe's..."
