Any stray Ed Reavy tunes?

Any stray Ed Reavy tunes?

Are there any tunes of Ed Reavy's that didn't make it into the Collected Compositions book? There's a hornpipe that Lad O'Bierne and Louis Quinn recorded a long time ago, and I've always wondered if it wasn't one of Ed's tunes; it's among the first recorded takes of Hunter's House, Fisherman's Island, Slaney Bog. You can hear the recording by searching for Lad's name at the Comhaltas Archive, it's the 2nd untitled hornpipe on the list. Key of D. I'd transcribe it but am a dot-a-phobe. ;) Also whenever I go to the trouble of writing something out I find someone's done the job already...

Re: Any stray Ed Reavy tunes?

Two tunes on Seán McGuire 'Irish Traditional Fiddling' are claimed as Reavy's, but they don't correspond to any in the Collected Compositions that I'm aware of.

The album has been released in various guises, including: http://www.thesession.org/recordings/display/2084 and re-released in CD format shortly before Outlet's demise: http://www.thesession.org/recordings/display/1042

Dragut - 2nd one is the Raveled Hank of Yarn, or the Peeler's Jacket as Carney and Morrison titled it on their 1929 recording. 1st one I've never had a title for, learned it from a student of Galway box player Kevin Keegan, who just titled it after KK. Probably in the database here somewhere.

My favourite is the one that Tommy Peoples plays on the first track on "The Iron Man" called "Reavy's", before going into Maerry sisters.

That's The Fisherman's Island, Fiddle Fancier - a fine tune, indeed.
