The Irish Traditional Music Archive has just uploaded the latest batch of digitised materials available online - http://www.itma.ie/audio/acetates.html - which largely feature Martin Wynne.
The first two records are also in the BBC archives. Years ago I received copies of dubs of these home recordings, one from a batch of discs in Martin Wynne's attic, another of Lad O'Bierne, solo and in duet with Louis Quinn. You can hear 30 second snippets of those recordings at the Comhaltas archives.
The title of the first is "Miss Roddy," usually called the Boys of Ballisodare; I think that was also used on a 78. Roscommon piper Andy Conroy called it Colonel Rodney. On my copy the title for the medley was "A.J. Wynne's Favorite." The tune Martin plays after the Kerry Reel is very nice, a simple old fashioned type of reel. These old records were a source for fiddlers like Conway/De Marco and John Carty, tunes like the Champion hornpipe.
Now, anybody know what song the little kid is singing at the end of #4? ;)
This Sligo version of the Flogging Reel is very nice, too - very distinct 3rd part, no Fs in it, also a Coleman-ish run down to the low G, like he played in Miss McLeod's.
