Yes you're so right richrua. Everything feels so much better after blasting out a few tunes on the fiddle. How do people cope when they don't have this music in their lives?
Very true showaddydadito and it would be truly arrogant of me to fall into that trap. That's why I didn't say "should" . Maybe it should have been "how do people cope without something to feel passionate about in their lives"?
Very true lisaniska. That's why I don't understand sport. But each to their own.
its all great
its all great
its all great. All of it. The music, life everything. It is just too much fun playing the fiddle.

" mas for the oul trad again" - aah to be sure.
Sasiko - you're right - but never fall into the trap of confusing "I do" with "you should". They have their own pleasures.

Re: its all great
One man's meat is another man's poison is what I take that Jane Austen quotation to mean.
A long time ago I used to read a magazine that had a column called 'eat the rich'.Maybe it was called 'class war'.I can't remember.
I agree with your point about how the better we are in ourselves the better we play. That's what I find anyway.
