Fair play and kudos to him. When Creuset wouldn't honor their warranty after I sent our heavy pot to the UK, I posted negative reviews on Amazon, Fine Cooking, and other sites. Within a day Creuset honored the warranty: they sent back the damaged pot, a nice new pot, and over €50 worth of extras (spatulas, specialized cleaning solution, pot holders, trivets) and paid for my shipping both ways.
Any large corporation is deathly afraid of negative publicity. It costs them more money than if they honored their service agreement. The moral: when you're p*ssed off, tell the world. The big company hear you.
Remember Dave Carroll?
