abcs look like garbage to me, I'm afraid.

Re: Looking for name of tune please....

They do, don't they Kenny? However if you invert the case of the letters, the second part seems to suggest Touch me if you dare... ( http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/596 ) ... apart from the last little run up which reminds me of something else I can't put my finger on.

Re: Looking for name of tune please....

I agree with Jeeves and ethical blend, if you invert the letters (lower octave = UPPER CASE, upper octave = lower case), it does appear to be very much like Phyllis' Birthday (which is maybe just a variant of Touch Me If You Dare...)

Re: Looking for name of tune please....

I think it's a mistake to assume that the abc's are "garbage". There are several different systems out there.

Re: Looking for name of tune please....

We're not talking about "out there". We're talking about the system used on this website, and in those terms, what was posted above was , in my opinion, garbage. When in Rome......

Re: Looking for name of tune please....

I am familiar w/ different systems. Flying to the Fleadh!!, your system is an amalgamation of, at least, 2 different systems.
Please settle on one or the other (either use the old system or the one developed by Chris Walshaw). As it is, your transcription does not work. No offence.

& yes, it is most likely "Phyllis' Birthday"
