Hi all,
l would like to submit the second polka after 'Connie in the Pool' that I submited today. I know I must wait until tomorrow, that's ok.
But on the recording section for 'Came the Dawn' it appears that the name of the tune is wrong : it is 'Gortnabuid' or 'Gortnabruid', something like that instead of 'Gortnatubrid'.
If I want a automatic link between the sections, the name must be the good one, I think.
Can I submit the tune with the good name and put the one existing as an alternative name, even it's wrong ?
Phil
Furthermore, if you look at almost any tune you will see "alternative names" that are no more than misspellings, included so that tunes would be linked.
If you enter a recording, I think that the right thing to do on this site is to list the name of the tune as you think it should be, not as listed in the sleeve.
I just noticed the recording was submitted by Aidan Crossey. "Came The Dawn" Seamus Creagh April 29th 2007 by Aidan Crossey http://www.thesession.org/recordings/display/2544
I trust he would be willing to correct any typos if you only inform him.

Re: Another submission question
Yes, if you look at any tune you'll see a section that asks "do you know this tune by another name" That links the whole thing together.

Re: Another submission question
Alternatively, you could e-mail the person who submitted the recording and ask him/her to correct their typo.
