Hi everyone in this tune http://www.deezer.com/listen-596746
Sean Keane plays a chorus, do you know the name of the tunes he played ?
thank you very much
it's on deezer, juste write the 2 words finale chieftains and you got the medley. The Sean Keane's chorus starts at 31"
I think he plays 2 tunes but i don't know them
Hello, thank you for your answer, i didn't know Scott Skinner so i've made a research on the web and found that the first tune of the medley is Arthur's Seat in B flat.
So thank you again, i'm going to find a score of the Concert reel more like the Sean Keane's one.
Well, i've listened to the Concert reel and it has many version hasn't it ?
The score on the session is not the same as the Sean Keane one or the Frankie Gavin.
Oh, but it is the same tune as the one I linked to. (On Gavin's record it's the second tune in the track called the Concert Reel.) Keane, as I said, is playing it in B. Listen again.
What is the name of that medley

Re: What is the name of that medley
The first is a one of those clever-dick fiddler's hornpipes - the name escapes me at the moment but is probably one of Scott Skinner's compositions.
The second is a version of this tune: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/1474 but it sounds as though he's playing it in B dorian rather than the usual A
