Sessions and friendship

Sessions and friendship

Apart from learning and having the chance to play regularly with some great musicians, I've made some very good friends at my local session (including non-musicians).

Thanks to all my pals at the White Lion for your support this year.

Re: Sessions and friendship

Yep, lots of good friendships start over music.

Re: Sessions and friendship

My mate was just starting on box when we began playing sessions together. His youngest daughter cannot remember a time when Tim did not play box. She is a teenager. Years of great crack. Come to think of it, I'm going to see some out-of -town session mates today. So what am I doing online?
Cheers Joel!

Re: Sessions and friendship

I don't know how you can have regular sessions without friendship. May as well stay at he otherwise.

Re: Sessions and friendship

i met my (non-musician) wife over a succession of sunday sessions twenty-eight years ago this christmas

and my oldest friend from earliest schooldays, also a non-musician, still gets down to odd sessions and gigs to take pictures and record film
