Jig ID

Jig ID

I don't have much to go on here. Just heard the beginning of this played by a friend recently.

Except he was going mad and actually played

Anybody have an idea of what this jig may be?

Re: Jig ID

It looks like " La na Baisti ". The Rainy Day in English.

It can be found in the book " Ceol Rince na hEireann 5 " by Breandan Breathnach.

Re: Jig ID

Thanks for the replies. Jim, there are parts of that tune which are similar but I don't think its one of MacMaster's. It could be The Rainy Day. I'll say it to him and see if its the tune.
