..........if you've got the CD, why do you need the transcription?

To save time because I've not much left.

Only valid answer.

"Quod Erat Demonstrandum, baby."

"Oooh, you speak French!"

(From a blatantly sexist song by Thomas Dolby. Still a funny quip, though.)

Nice graphic. Is the gent a leprechaun or a Puritan tax collector?

I don't have a fundamental problem with spots. What happens if your CD player or Ipod batteries die whilst you are in a remote area of the world and you here a wonderful tune that you must learn immediately and have one of the Comhaltas sheet music collections handy? ;-)

Just kidding. While I try to stay away from them as much as possibe, something is to be said for The Chief's preservation of the music by collecting the dots and putting them all in one place.

You may not need them....but if you get hit by a bus before you can pass them along, new folks have a place to start.

Re: Chieftains - Finale (live from Dublin)

I have a spellcheck on my computer ( or, at least, it works on this forum ), and it seems to favour Americanisms, even though both Jeremy and I are in the UK. There you go, it underlined favour in the last sentence, obviously preferred it without the 'u'.
There is also the famed bowdlerisation system on the site. You cannot, for instance, write the word S*W*A*N*K without the astericks (obviously ), it will print stoss instead ( took me a minute to work out why ).
Recently a theatre critic tried to post his review of a production of 'Lolita' back to his newspaper by email, and it would not appear on the database. Turns out the censoring firewall would not let the very title of the piece through.
There are also reputed to be websites where you cannot search for anything about Sussex, Essex, or Middlesex. Daft, I call it.
