Re: guitar repair

Derrick is a good one and knows what he's doing. He does get busy from time to time so be prepared to wait.

I know of others but don't have experience of their work so it's hard to recommend them.

Re: guitar repair

Derrick Nelson is great, although expensive, worth the money and the wait too.
Frank Tate in Dublin City centre is great too. Email me if you want his contact info.
Cheers

Re: guitar repair

I'd just like to ask the question - what is your guitar worth ? Apart from the sentimental value obviously.
Because you might be surprised to find out how expensive getting a luthier to repair a broken neck might be.
If the repair might be over the cost of the original guitar, then it could well be easier to cut your losses and just look out for a new instrument.

Re: guitar repair

thanks for the replies, guitar is a furch and worth around the 1k mark so its def getting repaired.its not a bad break though,if there is such a thing! It just broke where the headstock meets the neck right on the joint.im going to ring above contacts and see how things go!

Re: guitar repair

Well, that's worth it, then.
It's a common fracture point. You're not a follower of Pete Townsend, are you ? Or Ritchie Blackmore ?
