Is the sample meant to be readable, or linked to larger images? I can't distinguish the text at the url you've given. A readable contents page at least would be useful.
I tried zooming in on the text - all I got was an enlarged blurred image, still unreadable. Set Dancing News is a lot more fun - and it has a section devoted to tunes as played by the bands.
Book: Tuned Out
Steve Coleman
Fintan Vallely
"Tuned Out: Traditional Music and Identity in Northern Ireland"
Cork University Press
"Tuned Out is the story of Irish traditional music in Northern Ireland and its transformation there into a cultural form associated mainly with Nationalist identity." . . .
I love this journal - it's the only magazine I buy a subscription to. I'd get it for Cairan Carson's column alone, but there's lots more. I also like seeing Irish traditional music as a part of contemporary Irish culture, rather than in a purely nostalgic light.
