Beginner tunes for tin whistle?

i'd like to start playing tin whistle and i wonder if anyone knows any good tunes for a beginner i have a whistle in the keys C and D

Jim Ward's jig is a nice easy tune to get started with on the D whistle:

Since you already play the fiddle, maybe it would be a good idea to start out with a tune you already know?

I like Off to California--you can play the whole thing without lifting your top index finger, so there's no danger of losing your grip.

Choose something you can already play on fiddle, but for a beginner
it needs to be well inside the whistle range of notes. For the sake
of the person sitting next to you, try to pick something that only goes
up to g or a. The whistle is really obnoxious above that.
