My 'advice' is to ignore Sugarfoot, he's just bitter.
Put it on ebay, start at 50 whatevers, have a reserve of the minimum you're actually prepared to let it go for. If it doesn't reach that, then no-one is prepared to pay what you think it's worth.
After all, everything is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it - do you buy the cheap ( whatever ) or the expensive stuff ? That shows your own view of what you think something is worth.
Ignore Pete - he's just a bully. He'll set his mates on you if you don't take his 'advice'. Sell it for what you think it's worth Saint and not a penny less. If it's a quality instrument (and a Foley certainly is) then someone will buy it, and as the Reverend says with no wait that might well make it attractive.
Seanie was selling his Foley in Custy's recently so it might be worth contacting him to see how he went on.
I sold mine at the start of the year to help pay for my Manson bouzouki, but for that I would have kept it.
I turned down 3000 euro from a lad in New Zealand who saw it on mandolincafe.com (which I got a rake of interest from and its free) and let it go locally for 2800 euro.
Mine was a mint rosewood small body. A real one-off, lots of little custom extras on it+ case and baggs pick-up.
Ebay might go even higher!
Let me know, and I will ask around for a buyer for you.
Thanks everyone for your help and advice. I had a stroke back in August last year. Concentrating on the bodhrán at the moment as I had to switch hands and learn from scratch! Colm Murphy has been a great help.
Séanie, it would be great if you could ask around, I'd really appreciate that. My e-mail address is hennessyeddie@yahoo.ie if you get any interesting information or you can find me on facebook.
We're only talking, here on the forum.
I might mouth off a bit, but how anyone thinks a verbal pacifist OAP is a bully is beyond me.
Still, good luck with the sale !

Re: bouzouki for sale
Hey Eddie, long time no see...
Those go for about €2400 new, don't they? Without a wait, it should be worth that much, especially with the extras...
Can't help you much more than that, though.
I'm actually getting ready to sell my Brock, in fact...
Good luck!

Re: bouzouki for sale
I ordered a boukouki from joe a couple of months ago and the whole lot is going to come to 1900. Not sure if he's after dropping the prices or what.
